Gruma Corp., a subsidiary of GRUMA S.A.B. de C.V. in United States, California opened its plant designed to meet the highest specifications in terms of sustainability and environmental care, so its construction has been certified "Leed gold" (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, leadership in design energy and environmental), bestowed by the U.S. Government. With this plant, we ensure the efficient use of energy, water and waste as well as a reduction in pollutant emissions, both in the industrial areas as administrative of the new facilities where there is water and energy saving systems and solar panels.

This plant has become our benchmark to improve our facilitiess throughout the world. 

We purchased a grits and corn flour manufacturing plant of with an installed capacity of 65,000 tons of product per year in Cherkassy, Ukraine. This provided us with the opportunity to increase our business in the entire eastern European region and some countries in North Africa.
