90's
GRUMA’s shares were listed on the New York Stock Exchange .

In 1990 we built our tortilla mega-plant on Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. It is now  the world's largest plant with a capacity of 14 million units per day.

The production level we achieved enabled us to strengthen our presence in Central America by expanding our operations into Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua.

During this decade we entered the South American market, establishing ourselves in Venezuela, upon acquiring Molinos Nacionales (MONACA), the number two manufacturer of corn and wheat flour, which consolidated itself as an important food company with leading brands.

In 1994 we made our initial public offering of GRUMA shares on the Mexican Stock Exchange.

As a result of the merger of  production  at the Canoga and Guerrero plants, in 1995 we built our  plant in Rancho Cucamonga, in Los Angeles, California, which  surpassed the Olympic plant's production when  it achieved  recordbreaking  production of 25 million tortillas per day.

In 1998, GRUMA's shares were listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol GMK.
